What If I Don't Have My Own Pool?

No problem at all! Many families don’t have access to a private pool, and there are still great options available.We offer indoor lessons for anyone at a private pool downtown! For more information click the button. We also recommend asking a friend, neighbour, or family member if you can borrow their pool for lessons. As long as they gives clear permission, this can be a simple and flexible solution.If borrowing a private pool isn’t an option, you can also look into lessons at the YMCA or the Tournament Capital Centre (TCC).If you’re unsure which option works best, we’re always happy to help you talk through possibilities and find a solution that fits your situation.

What Ages Do You Teach?

We offer lessons for swimmers of all ages - yes, that includes adults too!

Do You Teach Private or Group Lessons?

Accepted Answer

Both! Private lessons are perfect for one-on-one attention, while small group lessons are a fun way for swimmers to learn with friends or siblings.

Question 4

What Happens If The Weather Is Bad?

If the weather isn’t safe, like heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme cold, we can for sure reschedule the lesson at no extra cost.

If a lesson is interrupted partway through due to bad weather, we can add the missed time to your next lesson. Safety always comes first.

We’ll notify you as soon as possible if a lesson needs to be changed and work with you to find a makeup time so your swimmer doesn’t miss out.

What If My Child Is Too Nervous For Their Lesson?

No worries! We specialize in building confidence in the water. Lessons start slow, with fun activities to make swimming enjoyable and safe.

Do I Need To Be Home During The Lesson?

Yes, a parent or guardian must be present at home for the duration of the lesson to ensure safety and supervision. You don't have to be next to the pool. You are more than welcome to go relax, work on any house hold tasks -  up to you!

How Do I Book?

Lessons can be booked online through our scheduling platform, where you can view availability and secure your spot.

You are also more than welcome to email us some times, days, and area of town you are in, so we can give you a hand and book you in.

Can My Child Wear Goggles?

Accepted Answer

Yes...and sometimes no.

Goggles can be helpful for swimmers who are already comfortable in the water and able to confidently open their eyes underwater. They can support skill development and make lessons more enjoyable.

However, for swimmers who are still learning water comfort, we may limit or avoid goggles. Being able to open their eyes underwater is an important foundational skill that helps build confidence and awareness.

Our instructors will guide when goggles are appropriate based on each swimmer’s level and progress.

Question 9

How Warm Does My Pool Need To Be?

For the best learning experience, we recommend a pool temperature of at least 29–30°C (84–86°F).

Warmer water helps swimmers stay comfortable, relaxed, and focused...especially younger children who can get cold more quickly. When the water is too cool, it can make it harder for swimmers to concentrate and fully engage in the lesson.

If you’re unsure, slightly warmer is always better to keep lessons enjoyable and effective.
